Dear Customers, Dear Business Partners,

In connection with the entry into force of the EU Regulation (EU) 2025/40 on packaging and packaging waste (PPWR), we are providing you with structured information regarding the legal status of our products.
As a company basing its operations on rigorous guarantees and standards, including the SMETA 4 Pillars ethical audit, we have proactively secured our supply chain. This allows us to ensure the continuity of our cooperation and the highest, certified safety of our products and decorations.

Below is a detailed summary of our current process and the standards we meet.

1. Legal Status and Compliance of Our Packaging

  • Current regulations: We confirm that the packaging of our products fully complies with the currently applicable European Directive 94/62/EC on packaging and packaging waste.
  • New PPWR Regulation: Our packaging meets the requirements of Regulation (EU) 2025/40 that are already applicable.
  • Substances of concern: Our materials comply with Article 5(4) of the new regulation concerning substances of concern, and its requirements are identical to the guidelines of Article 11(1) of Directive 94/62/EC. We thus offer tested and certified packaging.

2. Supply Chain Management and Documentation

  • Supplier verification: We possess full technical documentation from our partners confirming the compliance of supplied materials with EU standards.
  • Proactive monitoring: We have obliged all our suppliers to inform us immediately of any changes that could affect the regulatory compliance of the supplied goods.

3. Implementation Schedule for Further Requirements (2026–2030)

  • We are aware that many obligations arising from the PPWR will come into force gradually between 2026 and 2030.
  • We are awaiting the European Commission’s adoption of the relevant delegated and implementing acts.
  • These acts will regulate, among other things, the introduction of a harmonized packaging labeling system.
  • They will also specify the methods for calculating and verifying the recycled content in packaging.
  • We continuously monitor these processes, developing our ecological initiatives to ensure a smooth transition to the new guidelines for products from our lines, such as the Porceline, Glass, and Galaxy Collections.

What does this mean for your purchasing process?

  • The process of ordering promotional items at Maxim Ceramics remains an easy, simple, and safe solution for you.
  • We take full responsibility for monitoring EU legal changes.
  • A complete set of official Declarations of Conformity is available from your dedicated sales representative, who will also answer any questions you may have.
